Hello!I am an aspiring volcanologist with research experience and interests in (1) using rock to mineral scale textures and chemistry to unravel the magmatic processes that drive eruptions, (2) timescales of magmatic processes from storage to eruption, (3) volcanic hazards monitoring, and (4) GIS, cartography, and their applications for public and scientific natural hazards communication.
Currently, I am assisting with research as a Physical Science Technician (Field Assistant) at the Cascades Volcano Observatory. I earned my M.S. in Geological Sciences from Central Washington University (June 2024), where I completed my thesis on eruption initiation mechanisms and timescales at Mount Baker. I earned my B.S. in Geology and B.S. Geography (GIS) from Central Michigan University in May 2022. Explore the Research and GIS & Cartography tabs for more on my work in igneous petrology, volcanology, and GIS. Other activities I enjoy include running, hiking, baking, photography, reading, and playing games. I've also had some fun experience running around as an assistant high school cross country coach! |
